THE ASK
As the largest fundraiser in Alberta, the Stars and Spurs Gala called for a truly impressive visual display that would match the success of the previous year. The Proshow Calgary team was eager to rise to the challenge once again, designing a larger-than-life screen as the centerpiece of the event. In addition to this massive display, Proshow was asked to provide all necessary playback equipment, cameras, and infrastructure to ensure a seamless and unforgettable audio visual experience for attendees.
THE SOLUTION
Replicating the design from the previous year, Proshow installed a massive 170’x18′ screen, made possible by the collective power of six Barco UDM 4K22 projectors. These projectors were expertly blended by our team to create a seamless, visual experience that enveloped attendees in captivating content. The result was a stunning display of over 10,000,000 pixels, that formed a continuous, breathtaking curved image.
Proshow’s skilled technicians and engineers ensured that all components worked together flawlessly, showcasing their expertise and commitment to delivering an exceptional event. The team diligently coordinated the logistics of the screen setup within the venue, ensuring it was perfectly integrated into the space.
THE OUTCOME
This event served as a testament to the collective efforts of all involved, as it raised an impressive $1.3 million for STARS Critical Care, an organization that provides essential lifesaving support across Western Canada. Each year, the STARS & SPURS Gala continues to inspire and astound attendees with its annual large-scale projection display, solidifying its status as one of Alberta’s premier fundraising events.
