Junior Achievement of BC (JABC) Gala Dinner

JABC approached Proshow to collaborate on its 18th Annual Business Laureates of BC Gala Dinner and
Induction Ceremony, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, the proud home of the Hall of Fame. For
yet another year, Proshow was tasked with bringing JABC’s vision for this prestigious event, attended by
over 900 distinguished guests, to life. Proceeds from the gala were generously dedicated to supporting
JABC’s invaluable work as a highly effective not-for-profit organization that delivers engaging and
experiential education in work readiness, financial wellbeing, and entrepreneurship. The memorable
evening served a dual purpose: honoring the remarkable achievements of the Laureates while also
highlighting the transformative impact of JABC’s programs on the bright futures of many talented
students.

THE ASK

In 2022, with the event making a grand comeback to an in-person format after a hiatus since 2019, the client aimed to make a significant impact and sought Proshow’s expertise to achieve this goal. To ensure an unforgettable experience for attendees, JABC opted for a massive 18’x87′ screen as the centerpiece of the event. The decision proved to be a resounding success, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from guests. Due to its success, the client replicated the same configuration for both the 2023 and 2024 events, continuing to trust Proshow to deliver an exceptional and impactful experience.

THE SOLUTION

To replicate the successful setup from the previous years, Proshow deployed a massive 18’x87′ screen, which was powered by three Barco UDM 22K projectors. By utilizing rear projection, we ensured a perfect blend region that complemented the capabilities of our UDM projectors. This configuration offered enhanced contrast and superior image quality, making it ideal for the well-lit environment of the event room. In addition to the visual display, Proshow implemented a meticulously designed Meyer Mina line array system. This advanced audio solution provided unparalleled clarity and ensured that every attendee at this extraordinary celebration enjoyed an exceptional auditory experience, further elevating the overall success of the event.

THE OUTCOME

The event was nothing short of remarkable. The 18’x87′ screen delivered a visually stunning experience that left a lasting impression on the client and guests. Feedback received from both attendees and event organizers was overwhelmingly positive, with many commending the flawless incorporation of the audiovisual components.
